Construction of Armenian-Iranian railway serious project

The Armenian-Iranian cooperation projects may be divided into two packages. The first one includes projects that are already being realized like construction of the third high-voltage electricity wire. In case of its succesful implementation the volume of electrocity from Armenia to Iran will grow, expert Vardan Voskanyan said speaking to Nyut.am.

The second package includes projects that are being discussed like for instance the creation of free economic zone in Meghri. The biggest project though which is in the discussion phase is the construction of Iranian-Armenian railway. Its realization though demands serious investments. The Armenian side undertakes certain steps trying to engage Chinese capital.

It is quite serious project which will allow Armenia to get out of Turkish-Azerbaijani blockade, the expert said.
