Authorities toughening position – Ara Papyan

During the recent years the citizens of Armenia were deprived of the opportunity to defend their rights through voting or at judicial instances. That is why part of the people chose the way like the authorities used for years, political analyst Ara Papyan told the reporters today.

In his words they will hardly surrender to authorities peacefully. As to the authorities they are toughening their positions. “Instead of freeing the political prisoners in response to the release of hostages, the authorities are escalating the situation by depriving the group of food and medicaments,” Papyan said. In his words, there is a humanitarian rights which even criminals have. “One cannot speak of law, of non-usage of force and at the same tine use it. Force is not only shooting,” the political analyst said.
