Import volume mistakenly raised by 191 million USD

According to State Revenue Committee the import volume has grown by 191 million USD. Economist Vilen Khachatryan said speaking to that there is no economic explanation to it. “This “mistake” is more intended than accidental. Two companies have presented tax declarations on 30 billion instead of 30 million USD as a result of which the import volume has sharply grown to 455 million USD. The economist said that these companies have presented such wrong information intentionally in April to inform something good to people after the four-day war.

Another “accidental” thing is that one of these companies belongs to MP Samvel Alexanyan.

A question raises in this chain of “accidental mistakes” – what will happen with “wrongly” paid taxes, will they be returned or will be gifted to the state.

The National Statistical Service has published the clarified information according to which the import volume made 264 million USD in April. The figure was mistakenly raised by 191 million USD.
