Haykakan Zhamanak: Armenia’s Control Chamber president to be appointed ambassador?

The paper says it has learned from sources close to the authorities that top government circles are considering plans to appoint Control Chamber President Ishkhan Zakaryan Armenia’s ambassador to Kuwait.

According to earlier reports, the CC would be reorganized into an auditing body with completely other functions.

Citing its sources, the paper says that Vache Gabrielyan, a deputy premier and the minister of international economic integration, will head the Chamber.

But that’s not the only surprise, says the paper, adding that Armen Gevorgyan, a former deputy premier will replace Gabrielyan.

Gevorgyan resigned unexpectedly in 2015 and was later hired by a company owned by the Russian-Armenian businessman Ruben Vardanyan.
