Authorities in El Salvador have raided the offices of the Panama law firm at the centre of a massive data leak, the attorney general's office says. Documents and computer equipment were seized from the Mossack Fonseca office, officials said on Twitter. Leader of Homeland and Dignity Party Garnik Makaryan and chief shareholder of Yeghvard Fabric of Sports Shoes Vladimir Arakelyan have been arrested today. According to the National Security Service press office, they are suspected in cooperation with criminal band created by Arthur Vardanyan and in keeping illegal ammunition. Mexico has formally started the process of extradition to the US of drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. Belgian police have arrested two people suspected of planning attacks in Brussels on New Year's eve. Raids took place on Sunday and Monday in different parts of the country, according to officials. Australian police have charged three people after a child was reportedly found locked inside an elaborate underground drugs compound. Police said the boy, aged eight, was kept locked in a small room in the compound for several weeks and was allowed outside only to do chores. Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of murder after a South African appeals court overturned an earlier manslaughter verdict. Pistorius killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in February 2013 after shooting four times through a locked toilet door.
